New Patient Portal Updates

 

We are in the process of switching electronic health record systems across our South Florida offices. This will create changes that temporarily affect patients, particularly in accessing and using the Patient Portal. Please read below for a list of important dates and changes.

Important Updates You Need To Know:

Appointments

If you have an appointment during this transition period, please arrive 15 minutes early.  You will receive a text message asking you to:

  1. Register

  2. Upload insurance cards

  3. Fill out forms before your visit

The text will say: “Welcome to Pediatric Associates.

It is highly recommended to complete the forms before you arrive to streamline your appointment check-in upon arrival.  If you’re unable to complete your forms prior to arrival, please arrive to your appointment 30 minutes early. 

Virtual Visits (Telehealth)

We offer virtual visits 24/7 through our KidzDocNow app, so you can see a doctor anytime from the comfort of your home. We can help with things like: stomach issues, flu-like symptoms, asthma concerns, newborn care, and much more! Visit our website to learn more: https://kidzdocnow.us

Patient Portal

Our current patient portal will be retired on August 31, 2025. Rest assured, your medical records will be accessible through our new and improved portal. Beginning May 30, you will get an email with steps on how to join the new portal. If you have not received your invitation by June 15, please email us at portal.east@pediatricassociates.com, we’ll be happy to help.

How Do I Access Healow?

Healow can be accessed on desktop or by mobile app.

 

How Do I Locate My Practice?

To locate your practice, enter the Pediatric Associates practice code: CBJBCD

After you search the code, the practice that pops up will say “Pediatric Associates Family of Companies”. This will lead to your Pediatric Associates location, we promise! Just click “Show Locations” and select your practice.

Billing

All patient statements for visits after May 1, 2025, will be sent by email or text for the first 3 months. If the balance isn’t paid, we’ll mail a paper bill in the 4th month as a last attempt to collect the balance before it is forwarded to an outside collection agency.

Older balances will still come by mail from our current system. This means you may receive two statements at once – one paper statement for your current balance, and one electronic statement for new charges. 

To avoid any confusion, we recommend paying any outstanding balances by June 30, 2025. Login to your portal here to make a payment. Our team will also collect any old balances when you come in for a visit.
