Meet Julie
Julie was born and raised in New England and completed her nursing degree at the University of New Hampshire. She moved to Orlando in 2011 to begin her nursing career. In 2017 she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida and is board certified in pediatrics with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She has a passion for nutrition and in 2023 completed a Masters of Science in Nutrition Education through American University.
Q&A with Julie
What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
I like a lot of Disney movies, anything that you can sing along too.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
The Giving Tree!
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Maybe this will instill a memory for any millennials, but I loved Mall Madness as a younger kid.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My parents are my greatest inspiration. They worked very hard to instill in me a good work ethic and devotion to my education.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Cooking, traveling, going to the beach, and reading
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
When I was 8 years old, my brother was born early and was in the NICU in Boston for several months. I spent a lot of time there and from then have always loved being around babies and kids.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I like working with patients and family to coordinate their care and help them navigate the health system. I feel that I can deliver information in an understandable way.
