What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My all-time favorites: Pocahontas, Anastasia, Beauty and The Beast. But I enjoy watching new cartoons/movies with my kids.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
I like children's books that make learning fun, Dr Seuss series for instance. I also like to read book about faith, characters, and money management with my 9-year-old.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I was always outdoors playing with my brothers and friends. Fun fact: I was not allowed to play with dolls as a child.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My greatest inspiration would be my late grandmother Gerese. I used to call her "angel on earth". She was the kindest person I've ever known. She taught me that helping others is service to God, expecting nothing in return.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My hobbies lately include spending time with my kids and doing minor restoration projects around the house.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
From an early age, I knew that anything I would pursue as a career would involve children. After high school, when I decided to pursue medicine, my main interest was pediatrics. I believe that children should have equal access to health and opportunities in life.
