What is your favorite children's book and why?

Anne of Green Gables - it was about achieving your hopes and dreams despite being dealt a hard lot in life.

What was your favorite childhood toy?

I loved to create and build forts.

Who is your greatest inspiration and why?

Some of my high school teachers who believed in me.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

Swimming, crafting, and visiting Disney.

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I had some health problems as a child and was taken care of by a great pediatrician. I wanted to grow up to be just like him.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

I have worked as a pediatrician in 4 states and multiple different healthcare settings. Each location helped me learn a lot about different cultures and ways of practicing pediatrics. I also learned to practice at a high level because there were not always specialists to refer to. This experience allows me to provide great care to my patients.

I also do circumcisions, frenotomies (tongue tie clipping), and a few other procedures in the clinic.

How do you accommodate patients with special needs?

Extensive personal experience with navigating the education setting due to having a child with high-functioning autism.
