What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
The movie "Inside Out" is my favorite animated movie.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
My Big Book of the Seasons illustrated by Eloise Wilkin. I always loved that book because of the beautiful illustrations and portrayal of the changes and circle of nature throughout the year.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I remember an old Fisher Price tower that had a puzzle or skill you had to do on each level of the tower to get the marble ball to drop down to the next level, and it was timed with an old-fashioned hourglass of sand.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My greatest inspiration is Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Her focus in life was to service to others and the ability to love people, no matter their circumstance. Her fortitude, patience, perseverance and dedication, serve as a reminder to never give up, and that the smallest act of kindness can move mountains. A humble, tiny woman who changed the world.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love to play pickleball! I enjoy reading, watching football, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family, including my husband and 4 daughters. I love to do puzzles and play card games, especially Euchre.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I have always loved spending time with children. They have a unique way of looking at the world and are so open, honest and loving. Medicine was always an interest and passion of mine and combining the two was a perfect blend for me.
