What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
I love watching the Disney movie “Brave” with my daughter.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein is one of my favorites, because it honestly depicts the selfless love of a mother to her child.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I admired Barbie for her beauty and brains. She could be anything she dreamed of.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My Mother has been my biggest inspiration. My parents immigrated from Guyana with 5 children to provide us opportunities. She worked full time, cooked and cleaned tireless for us, so we could study. I am forever grateful and try every day to do the same for my children.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Yoha and cooking.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
My love of science drew me to medicine and my desire to help those who can not help themselves drew me to pediatrics. From newborns to teens I find pleasure in helping parents navigate the journey. I specialize in prematurity, ADHD and other complex medical conditions.
