Q&A with Megan

What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?

One of my favorite animated movies is, Beauty and the Beast.

What is your favorite children's book and why?

My favorite children's book is Guess How Much I Love You. I have always loved that book and read it to my babies when they were little. I also love all Dr. Seuss books!

What was your favorite childhood toy?

I would have to say my favorite toy as a child was my bike. I loved playing outside and riding my bike with my sisters.

Who is your greatest inspiration and why?

My greatest inspiration is, my Gram. She passed away in 2011, but she was amazing. She loved so big, she always did whatever she could to help others, and she was always so giving and caring. She aspired to be a nurse but gave up on those dreams to take care of her family, so I like to think I am helping to carry out her dreams by living mine.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

Hiking, going to the beach, kayaking, spending time with my family, and traveling.

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I have wanted to be a pediatrician ever since I was a little girl. I was most inspired by my own pediatrician, Dr. Jamir.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

I feel like I really try to include the child in their care and pay special attention to speaking to them as well as the caregivers. I have lived in Titusville for my whole life and worked with our practice from the time I was 16, so I have had the chance to take care of generations of families within our community and have built some really cool relationships throughout the years.

How do you accommodate patients with special needs?

I take care of all pediatric patients no matter what their special needs or disabilities may be.

Graduate Degree:
University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL (2008 - 2010)
