Who is your greatest inspiration and why?

My two boys who continue to live their dreams despite all the adversities they’ve faced. They are also two of the kindest and strongest individuals I know.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

My Family! Spending time in the mountains and by the ocean! Yoga and meditation! Art and music!

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

Jennifer Konsker has been practicing General Pediatrics for Pediatric Associates in South Florida for over the past twenty three years since completing her residency at Mount Sinai in NYC. She is a graduate of Columbia University School of Engineering and worked as an Industrial Engineer for a healthcare consulting firm restructuring hospitals and healthcare systems before switching career paths to follow her calling- to help and heal with the hopes of making a difference in our world.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

Dr Konsker’s medical training (both medical school and residency) in NYC focused extensively on mental health, where she realized the importance of the mind body and spirit connection. Since then she has focused on all three elements when treating her patients and families.

She is also continuously practicing and studying yoga, meditation and mindfulness, incorporating it into her life and work.

When it comes to both physical and mental health and our youth and their families, she realizes that so much more needs to be done and changed. She strongly believes intervention needs to happen earlier in life. Helping and healing her patients and their families as well as her volunteer experiences has made it obvious that comprehensive and effective medical care, help, healing and education must begin prenatally, in infancy and in early childhood.

How do you accommodate patients with special needs?

Dr Konsker has had experience in treating children with special needs for over 2 decades.
