A 10-speed bicycle I purchased from Sears with money from mowing yards.

Who is your greatest inspiration and why?

Dr. Reed Bell, Pediatric Endocrinologist, director of my residency program. Exemplary role model of compassionate, dedicated pediatrician who was a strong advocate for children and families. Integral in establishment of Children's Medical Services in the state.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

Hiking, bicycling, beach, travel, and grandchildren.

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

Working with my pediatric attendings at UF COM, including my academic advisor Dr. Gerold Schiebler.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

Availability - patients are family.
