Q&A with Dr. Johnson
What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
The Lion King is my all time favorite animated movie! It is a true representation of the full circle of life.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
You Can Do It, Sam is my favorite children's book. I have great memories reading this book to my boys over and over again when they were little guys! I would remind that anything that they set their minds to do, it can be done!
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I didn't have a favorite toy, but, I did enjoy riding my bike in my neighborhood and over to my best friend's house. We would ride and race all over the neighborhood.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My parents are my greatest inspiration and I am beyond grateful that they are here to see the rewards of their love, and their sacrifices extended to me and my siblings!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I really enjoy spending time with my family. I also like to travel.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
The care and concern that I have for children and their wellbeing served as my motivation to pursue a career as a pediatrician. My desire to be of service and make a positive impact upon my community has been a source of inspiration to me and continues to sustain me each and everyday.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I believe what distinguishes me from others is my ability to ensure that patients feel seen, heard and cared for. I always want patients and families to know that I am here for them and that I care. I strive to be a thorough, caring and compassionate pediatrician with every patient that I am privileged to care for.
