What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
Shrek
What is your favorite children's book and why?
“The Way I Feel” by Jansen Cain. I believe that teaching young children to identify their emotions helps to promote increased emotional intelligence. In my view, this competency can help kids to achieve happiness and life satisfaction.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
The little people
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell (1821-1910) was the first female physician. She and her sister started the New York Infirmary for Indigent Women and Children, now called New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Running, pilates, yoga, crosswords.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
Working with children has always been a passion of mine from babysitting as an adolescent to volunteering with underprivileged youth in Israel and Boston as an adult. Children are the future. I hope to empower and support parents by building communication with their children and providing evidence-based care.
