What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
The Peanuts - all of the Charlie Brown movies
What is your favorite children's book and why?
Curious George - the one with the missing puzzle piece that George swallowed and he had a stomach ache.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I liked playing with my brothers outside and dolls.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My mom - she was a single mom for most of my life and she worked hard and was very loving.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Spending time with my family, reading, going to the beach, swimming and doing crafts.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I went into healthcare because I wanted to help people. I love working with children because they are so resilient and fun. I just want them to feel better and be happy and healthy. I also want to help parents because being a parent is the hardest job you will ever have.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I have been in Pediatrics for the past 35 years. It is a blessing to see the children and their families grow and develop.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
I have had personal experience with autism and some special needs. Patience is key.
