What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
I love the classic Disney movies like the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.
What is your favorite children's book and why?
I don't have a single favorite book but I do remember reading the Little Golden books which I really enjoyed.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite toy as a child is a stuffed puppy dog that my mom gave me as a newborn. I still have it to this day.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My parents. I have learned so much from them about how to be a good person and successful in life. Family means a lot to me.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Golf, weight lifting, and traveling.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
My dad inspired me to work in the healthcare field. He is a retired firefighter paramedic. I admired him growing up and he is the reason I became a nurse and started my career in the emergency department.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I have an extensive background in emergency medicine and I think this has helped me not only recognize acute illness and administer prompt treatment, but also has exposed me to different cultures and backgrounds. I feel that effective communication is key when dealing with patients and families.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
We accommodate all patients in the office. The facility is physically accessible, including ramps, wide doorways, and accessible restrooms. We also offer translation services.
