Q&A with Dr. Leiman
What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
I am a Disney lover! I have seen and loved all the classics. I will say that Princess Jasmine is my favorite because she and I have the same nose!
What is your favorite children's book and why?
My favorite children’s book series was the Little Bear books. They were so calming to me as a child and I enjoyed sharing them with my own children.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
As a young girl, my favorite toy was Barbie. I would create very complicated scenarios for her and her friends!
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My greatest inspiration continues to be young women. I watch how hard they work as wives, mothers and professionals. I work hard because I was once them and now I need to be their support and cheerleader!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Paint by number and walking.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
As a child I was always fascinated by the human body. I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after studying genetics in college.
