My childhood Physician. He believed in me and inspired me to become who I am today.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy traveling tropical islands, spending time with my love one, and sports of all kinds.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I have always wanted to work with children since I was around 3 years of age.
When I was three years old, I was diagnosed with childhood leukemia. This was devastating to my family and friends. My parents did everything they could to provide me with the best possible care of the day.
However, in that time of such darkness, I met a physician / Pediatric Oncologist that would have a profound effect on the rest of my life. Not only did I receive excellent medical care that saved my life, but I learned a great deal about compassion and empathy that I bring to my professional career to this day.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I believe in empathy and compassionate scientifically based care.
I tell my parents everyday " Good morning " no matter what time of day it is. I tell them I like my parents, but I love the kids.
I have a special interest in hematology / oncology, asthma care, diabetic care and newborn care.
