Mulan, she's not your typical Disney Princess: she is courageous, strong and independent. She loves her family, and she is willing to do anything to take care of them.

Alice in Wonderland. It was my first big kid book, and it completely captivated my imagination.

My teddy bear named "Oso." He only had one eye, but I loved him very much.

My grandfather: he did not have an easy life or the opportunity of an education, but he always acted responsibly and kindly. Took care of his family in the best way possible and sacrificed himself for his children and grandchildren. He was a hard worker, resourceful and smart. He always provided for us in a very difficult world, and he was grateful for what we had yet always striving for better.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, collecting seashells, and traveling.

My Pediatrics teacher in medical school, she always said: Pediatric patients are the best; they are honest, vulnerable and sweet.
