My greatest inspiration is my family, they motivate me every day to be the best version of myself as a mother, wife, daughter and physician.

Love spending time with family, visiting new coffee shops, walking trails, and baking with my kids. Love going to the beach at sunrise.

I’ve always loved working with kids and have enjoyed teaching others from a young age. As a physician, I get the best of both worlds—I can care for children while teaching them and their families about their health and helping them feel better.

I believe in speaking directly to my patients, especially when they’re old enough to understand and participate in their care. As an allergist, I often see children and families dealing with conditions like allergies, asthma, eczema, food allergy and drug allergy that can have a big impact on their everyday lives. I like to explain the “why” behind their symptoms, testing, and treatment recommendations. Whether I’m showing pictures, drawing things out, or breaking down how their condition works, I want both the child and their parents to understand what’s happening and feel involved and confident in their care.

I try to tailor each visit to the individual needs of the child. This may include allowing extra time, explaining each step before I do it, using simple language, pictures or drawings, and giving the child time to become comfortable with the visit. For procedures such as allergy testing, I try to prepare the child ahead of time and adjust my approach and pace whenever possible to create a calm, supportive experience.
